White box appeared on my new laptop screen help?
i just bought a new dell inspiron with windows 7 and after a few days it has a white box on the computer screen. it wont go away . its about 6 inches long and 6 inches wide. anybody have any idea how to fix it ?? i already restored my computer ... thanks
Why won't new laptop screen come back on if computer is restarted or shutdown?
My laptop screen got cracked and only half of it worked. I got a new screen for the same model and replaced it. I turned on the computer and not even the back light came on. I then put the cracked screen back on, started it back up, and the screen came on. I changed the screen while the computer was still running and the new screen worked and is currently working as I type this , but if I restart or shut down then the same thing happened as the first time. I don't know if it means anything but when the laptop is started up the Num Lock light is on and I can hit the key and the light will go off, meaning the feature is turned off, but I can only do this with the old cracked screen. If I try to hit the key after a restart with the new screen the light stays on. Anyone know why the new screen will not work after a restart but will if hot swapped? Please please please help
Why is there is tiny smudge on my new laptop screen that is rainbow colored?
It is very very small but will not go away... if I look closely when the screen it white I can see itIt isn't from a magnet and is VERYsmall, but bothersome none the lessi would guess it's about 10 pixels colored that way
I purchased a new laptop screen and the video cable isn't long enough. Help!?
I purchased a replacement laptop screen on eBay and the socket that the video cable plugs into is on the opposite side of the circuit board than it was on the old broken screen, therefore the short video lead attached to the laptop will not reach it. Is there any way of extending this, or should I just send the screen back? The listing clearly said it was compatible with that model.
How do i fix a brand new laptop screen that turns all white?

My new laptop screen is flickering?
I just got a new Toshiba laptop about 20 days ago. It's working fine until this morning, I turned it on and the screen keeps on flickering. It turns bright, flickers, a little and then dims. Everytime I tilt the screen, it flickers. I know it's not the battery, because it flickers even if it's plugged or unplugged. What's going on? How do I fix this? Should I get back to Best Buy and ask for help? When I bought my laptop, Best Buy said if I spent like another $150, they'll fix my laptop if I spill water on it or drop it. However, I didn't spend the extra $150. If I bring it back to them, will they help me with this flickering problem?Please don't tell me something's wrong with the cable because that's not much help.
Whats wrong with my new laptop screen?
About two months ago I broke my laptop screen, then I ordered a new screen this week and it arrived today. I replaced the laptop screen with the new one on my own, I didn't want to pay for somebody else to do it....but now after I have connected the screen and everything, when I turn on my laptop it only displays a white screen and beeps repetitively.What do I do? whats wrong with it? 7 dark pixels/small dead dots in scattered manner on my new laptop screen !! Should I ignore, please suggest?
They persist remain even when I change the wallpaper, and on every window opened. 3 pixels are on bottom right corner and are quite dark, some 2 slightly less dark in the centre right, and some 2 which are comparitively less dark on top right. They persist on any open window. Though my laptop screen clarity is awesome, should I get it replaced under warranty because of this pixel defect issue. I don't know whether I should qualify this pixel issue as minor or major one, as I am new to computers and its my first pc. Can this case be considerable under display replacement through warranty ? Please suggest me as to what should I do. Please be clear in whatever suggestion you convey. Thanks

Brand new laptop, screen freezing, can't even CTRL+ATL+Delete?
2 days ago, I got a brand new laptop HP Pavilion, AMD Turion II Dual core Processor . I started using it yesterday had to make recovery discs, put on anti virus, etc. the first day and had no problems.When I was on the internet, my computer froze up. The screen didn't go black or anything, it just showed Google Chrome like normal. I couldn't click anything, but the mouse would move around. I couldn't CTRL ALT Delete. This happened 3 times in the past 4 hours .This morning, I used the internet right before school and went to shut off the computer. I pressed the button to shut it down and left for school.My mom texted me later asking me why it was still on.All I've installed on the computer is the anti virus, Google Chrome, Fraps shows the frame rate of your games while running and Spore.Anyone know what's wrong here? Is it the computer? And is there a simple way to fix this?Help... D Oh, and the only way to get it back to normal is to use the power button to turn it off. I waited like 10 minutes for it to unfreeze all 3 times... it never did. Mark M Well I've been on the internet the whole time, so I dunno if that's what it is.
