Is there a hard protective case for the hp Pavilion dm4-3055dx Entertainment PC Laptop?
So I just got the hp Pavilion dm4 3055 Entertainment PC Laptop for college & I love it But I really want to protect it. I could easily find a hard shell case for my MacBook Pro, but not for my hp. Do you guys know if they even make hard snap on cases for this hp laptop? To clarify, I am not looking for a skin or decal, I am looking for a hard snap on protective shell preferably clear thanks
The USB port on my PC laptop works for everything but my printers. How can I fix that?
I downloaded the updated drivers for the Universal Serial Bus Controller, downloaded a tool from Brother that removes the Plug And Play drivers, installed, uninstalled and reinstalled the Brother driver, booted the Laptop into Safe Mode, tested the printer on all the USB ports, tested my Flash Drive, MP3 player, External Harddrive and Cell Phone which all work. Everything but the Printer works. Help Please
MacBook Air compared to other PC Laptops?
So I really want a MacBook Air before the next fall semester starts but I can't afford one. Is there some other brand of laptop that compares to the MacBook Air in terms of size and quality. I know that I'm not going to be able to get all the Apple stuff on a different brand but that's not what I care about.
Should I succumb to the repair costs of Macbook Pro or just buy a PC Laptop instead?
Hey guys, so I'm having quite an internal debate with myself here. I messed up my macbook pro because I used too many disinfectant wipes. That caused some of the keys on the keyboard to go out permanently. It was still working...flash forward to this year and now my macbook stops at the apple logo screen..it continually shows the loading bar but never gets to the login. So I decided to take it in and they're gonna call me back within 48 hours. They could replace the keyboard for $219 after taxes but they also mentioned that there is a possibility that the logic board is messed up as well. I googled what that is and my worst fears came true. Costly. It can be up to $1500 to replace it depending on the condition and the model of the laptop. I have a 2009 Macbook Pro 13" Plasma that I purchased in September. If it comes to nearly $1000 with all the repairs, should I just not bother with it and get a PC laptop instead that's way cheaper and offers a lot more?The reason I'm asking is because I start my first year of three in a film program this September and they're debating whether to get rid of Final Cut Pro and use Adobe Premiere Pro instead because Apple dropped the ball with FCP X. Given that Adobe is compatible with both the PC and MAC, shouldn't I just buy a laptop instead? If so, what are the best media PC laptops out there that offer good CPU and RAM at a reasonable price? Or just whatever you think is good. Or should I succumb to the repair costs and keep the macbook pro? Thanks

Best PC Laptop with large memory and copes with video games?
Hi I've had my laptop for 3 years now so it's very slow and the memory's nearly all gone. I'd like to buy a new one that can cope with things my laptop barely can photoshop, sony vegas, sims 2 3, etc. It would need to have an extremely large memory as I have about 12GB's worth of media on my laptop and would have more if given the space. Is the any laptop or any brand you would reccomend? Thanks. I considered a mac, but upon reflection I'm comfortable with windows and wouldn't feel okay with the transition . Commonsense That was extremely helpful. By " copes" with video games it would at least be nice to have one that doesn't freeze up as soon as I actually try to play the game.
