Is Prey Laptop Security reliable / legitimate. . . ?
Ok so I did a little research online on laptop security and geo tracking in any case mine could be stolen.The most obvious I came across was Lo Jack. But seeing as how it's just like many other expensive softwares, I kept researching.I then came across a laptop security feature that basically mimics LoJack called Prey.Prey, like LoJack, has geo tracking, imbeds into your system so thieves cannot access, and apparently also takes screenshots of the screen and if the laptop contains an imbedded webcam, a screenshot of the " thief" . This is pretty amazing.However, the one catch that makes all this " too good to be true" is, Prey is an entirely free software. . . This level of software does not usually come free without a catch. . . .Any ideas whether Prey is legitimate?If you want more information on Prey, just google it.I've tried finding reviews, but found none perhaps Prey is not widely known. . . ?
