i am going to school next year into an engineering program, i am going to be doing a lot of cad drafting and other work, some of which i need to take home, i am looking for a laptop, and ideally i would like to get a pc just for the compatibility between school and the laptop, i want one that will last the time and more, i don't have a budget so list off whatever is the best quality to you and maybe to me. i don't game, just internet and anything that i need to do, your help is appreciated

Etc etc. When you tell me what I should do to keep my laptop in good shape and fast, plz tell me how, and how often I should do that too.We have norton ant virus so that's probably what my dad will use on my laptopThanks
The cheapest, high-quality laptop?
Hellur, I need some advice about getting a laptop. My budget for this laptop is $600 $700 and thats including Microsoft Office and an Anti Virus software. Any recommendations? I'd also prefer an HP or a Dell laptop, just don't know which to buy and what to buy with it.I'll be using it for School mostly, but also for blogging and such including some editing programs such as PhotoShop CS5 on it.

Okay so I need a cheap, good quality laptop. And I need trusted websites on where to get them. I really don't want a netbook, an actual sized laptop. With a webcam, and not really prone to viruses. Oh and fast connection, but I don't knwo if that depends on my wifi or anything. Any trusted sites to get the at? I could care less if it's used, I just really don't have much money to spend. Like at all. ThanksI don't need it for anything business related. And just for like skyping, and for homework, and just something I can use everyday. And the price range being very cheap. I dont know exactly the range, but I'm living off a waitress' salary lol, if that helps at all.
