i wanna buy a small laptop like those which have atom processors but some people told me that we can't play big games in those

Looking for a SMALL Laptop?
Hey All,I ve been looking around for a small laptop. But I can t seem to decide what to do. Once I think I ve found one, others say No, don t get that I ve spent hours online and getting very frustrated now , and I can t come up with anything. So, I thought I d post here and see what you guys cane come up with.PLEASE guys, I DO NOT want a Mac Below is a list of what I d like in a laptop . Windows7 64 bit.. Wifi.. Between a 11 13 at the most 14 at a push . At least an i5 duel core, if poss the best processor for the money, really . At least 4GB RAM.. Memoy Card slot.. A CD Drive. it doesn t have to write, just read . The best graphics I can get for the money.I have a budget of about 500.I m after a small laptop rather than a notebook netbook as I want a CD drive. Yes, I want a smaller screen size to make it more portable.I d like the PC processor to be as fast as I can get for the money.I m not a gamer, so I don t need amazing graphics for games etc. But graphics for watching videos looking at photos is a must. they don t have to be outstanding, just average, really I m not worried about the thickness of it.I would like to use this as a replacement for my desktop when I m not at home.I would like to use it for . Web browsing, email, facebook, twitter, MSN, etc.. YouTube, watching videos movies streaming Tv.. Microsoft office world docs and html writing. . Image Graphics editing photos etc this can mostly be done on my desktop though Thanks for any help you can provide.Tommy, thank you for your reply. Affordable and Small Laptop?
I am looking for a new laptop, because mine is almost done. I'm looking for something under or around $500. I want something that is light and portable. I'm not a big gamer, so that's not a big issue. I mainly just surf the web and write. Any good laptops fit the criteria?Thanks I appreciate all of those options, but I would like a CD DVD drive. Any Suggestions for a Small Laptop?
Hey Guys . So anyway im looking for a small laptop around 12 13 inches with and optical drive. The reason why i want a small laptop is that i dont like netbooks because they have a small screen and dont include an optical drive built in and i dont like normal sized laptops because they are normally really heavy and and to be honest i dont like them so is there any alternatives? Soldered ram in smaller laptops?
Why do we support products that are hard to upgrade? I would have bought one of the newer Asus netbooks but they keep soldering the ram to the motherboard. Do people really not care that if their ram dies they must buy a new computer?I understand that these products are not desktops and not as easy to upgrade as a desktop. But it's getting to the point where you can't even make simple changes or open the machine easily.
