Question: Sony laptop not loading windows when turned on what does this mean and what can i do?

It's about 3 years old and when using it last night it kept saying not responding to everything so I switched it off and on again and now when I switch it on it's just showing the logo and the intel logo and not loading to windows or anything else. What is wrong with it and what can I do?

If all of a sudden it will not go beyond the BIOS splash screen, then there could be a few different hardware issues... You could have a bad stick of RAM now... or You could have a failing hard drive, since they only last 3 or 4 years... or You could have developed an issue on your motherboard. You could try reseating your Ram. You could try replacing your Ram with known good Ram. You could try removing your hard drive and seeing if it boots past the splash screen. Or... you could take it to a repair shop and have a professional take a look at it. end of line
