Advice on sony laptops please.?

Question: Advice on sony laptops please.?

(Posted by: nessa on 2010-03-01 11:11:34)

I am in the process of buying a VAIO laptop/ notebook ( <- i think thats the same thing? ) and would like some suggestions on what to look for. Price range between 900- 1300. Size around 14 " and weight is not that big of an issue. Graphics arent as important (since i dont play games) as much as speed is . I dont really understand the Inter processors because there are so many of them so how do i know which is the best ? Can someone explain to me the differenct processors and what to look for in them ? Mainly i would like a fast computer with a lot of storage and decent battery life. So what would you recommend ?

If you aren't going to play games on i , you won't need one that costs that much, my dad got a really good Dell for about £400 There are some viao's here: sony.co.uk/ product/ vn-cw-series/ tab/ models The main one for £649.00 looks fine if you're not going to play games on it, it can probably even play some on it! Anything above dual core or 2 core duo 2.0GHz is very fast and 2GB RAM+ is fast enough Even lower things will be fine if it's just for work. Hope I saved you some time and money :)

First things first. DO NOT GO DELL!! Here is the link for a laptop you will ove. It's right in your price range, perfect size and has a i5 Intel processor, one of the best laptop processers you can buy. It has all the power you'll ever need. Here it is... bestbuy.com/ site/ Sony+ -+ VAIO+ Laptop+ with+ Intel%26%23174%3B+ Core%26%23153%3B+ i5+ Processor+ -+ VPCS111FM/ S/ 9999124400050012.p?skuId= 9999124400050012 &id= pcmprd124400050012 Hope you like it, because I know I do. Also, look into Best Buy Blue Label for similar laptops. They all have the same specs, but this is a Sony ;) Edit: It's a bit more expensive, but sooo much better. Cheers!
