Why are sony laptops and lcd more costly than all other brand like samsung or dell?
i like the style of sony products but they are expensive than other brands like samsung or Hp or dell.u will have to pay a lot more for laptop with same specs or even lcds.

I have an I5 Sony Laptop, bought 11 month ago. If I insert a movie DVD, it clicks and whirls away?
...like it's loading and prepping to play. It does not autoplay. So, then, I go to Start > computer andeither click on the FVD items this ejects the DVD or I right click on the DVD icon. When I do that I'm given a nmumber of options, like OPEN,, but NOT PLAY..If I click on open, it opens the drive and the DVD is ejected. Do you have a way to fix this so I can just insert a DVD and have it play right way.THe same DVD plays quilcky, on auto play when I place it in my Dell laptop. Also, I reformatted the hard drive completely and the same problem existed before and after the reformat. Help please

Lenovo or Sony Laptop?
Which laptop is going to be more reliable? Is it ok to use generic drivers for Sony laptops?
Is it totaly ok to use generic drivers from like Intel to update my Intel HD graphics card? Or do I need to use the drivers from Sony esupport to update my video driver? I have a Sony laptop that I got last year and I was wondering that if it's ok to use the Intel.com latest drivers. All I can say is that according to Sony they said to use there drivers and not use generic but I want to make sure if that's ture. Thanks

So my sony vgn cr515e laptop seem to be broken, When I turn it on and select " start window normally" it load and then a blue screen pop up with a bunch of words and then it restart...I havn't been able to use my laptop lately,I tried pluging the internet cable in and press " safe mode with network help" and it just goes to the blue screen and then restart again. I dont know what to do and i ask a lot of ppl online and they say to use the system operating recovery restore disc and to install window...except i dont know what the heck that is I know very little about these stuffand I dont have anyone to help me fix it and I really need my laptop working again. oh and I lost the disc that came with the computer any chance you know how to fix it without the disc or you know a pplace where to buy it online? THANKS A MILLION TIME I'm using my sister laptop right now so yea...and I cant go to browser or the desktop or ANYWHERE on my laptop so I wont be able to any of those related stuff....please try to undderstand and on the blue screen...it says " crash dump" and stuff

(sony) Laptop not charging? Battery?
I have a Sony Vaio F series that is only a year old not sure if this matters.. and it will NOT charge. It will only run when plugged in. When I check the battery health, the pc says the battery health is good. But, it will not charge at all. It says the battery still has an 84 % charge on it.. but when it gets unplugged it cuts off. Not really sure what to do here. I don't have another Sony to test it out, no warranty, so I think I may be screwed? Is there any way to troubleshoot what is going on with the battery? The product number is vgp bps21a For a $1600 laptop this thing is a piece of crap. Also I bought a new charger for it, and still nothing, so it's not the charger pack.
Sony laptop camera won't work..?
