Is it necessary to update a vaio laptop?
Hi, there. I've bought a vaio laptop vpcf137fx . is it necessary to update it? what are the benefits of updating? And is it gonna cause any damage to my notebook if I don't update it?Thanks
I have a 2yr. old sony vaio laptop I bought used. Blue Ray player or NOT?
I see NO markings on tray or case. It is a model VPCEA24FM , but I think there are Current Laptops with the SAME MODEL NUMBER, but have a bigger memory and DO have a" blue ray" drive for sure. Could MY 2yr.old model NOT have a BLUE RAY drive, and how would I determine this for sure?Any help on that appreciated. Thanks.
My sony vaio laptop screen is completely broken?
this happened like 2 years ago but it's been a while and i forgot what stuff i saved on my laptop. old pictures, videos, music etc. anyways it started with flickering and i had to hit it and like bend it sorta to clear up. now it just stays completely black and the screen is definitely beyond repair. however it does turn on. i'm wondering if i can somehow hook my laptop up to like a desktop screen and make the image project through that?? thanks in advance guys i tried the vga cables one end on in my laptop and one in my tv and nothing happened. if it helps, i have a sony vaio vgn cr540e
I have VPCSE2V9R sony vaio laptop. How to install Vaio care?
I installed new 64 bits Windows 7 pro. I want to install vaio care. I have already installed all the sony drivers given for my laptop on the official sony site. But still I am unable to install vaio care. I run the vaio care .exe file. It runs and at the end the message comes that it has sucessfully installed. But I can't find it in the program list or in the 'all program' list. When i press the Assist button, nothing happens. The program does not install. Please help and advice.

I have taken the battery out, put it back in, pressed power. It powers on but only shows the windows logo and says " starting windows" Please HELP
VAIO Laptop weird problem. Solutions anyone?
Ok, so I have a Sony VAIO VGN NW23NE laptop Windows 7, x64 Home Basic The default HDD space is 250 GB. I installed a Win 7 Ultimate around a year back. Thus, I'd 2 instances of Win 7 running.Let me break down the scenario for better understanding.1. Default Win 7 Home Basic OEM Installed in the 200 GB partition.2. Seperate Win7 Ultimate Installed on a separate 32 GB partition.The OEM Win 7 was the default OS and I used it for major operations whereas the Ultimate version was just for leisure, or actually for namesake.Now, the problem is that due to some reason, the OEM Windows won't boot. I tried startup repair, recovery via HDD as well as recovery disks. But, the process got stuck in between all the time. I mean, nothing happened the process did start, but didn't proceed.So, I tried the other OS it works But, the 200 GB partition is not visible All I see is a single 32 GB drive.What is this problem?I doubt this is a HDD issue. But can such weird issues come up? Only 1 drive gets corrupted and the other is completely error free. P.S I can't connect to the " Virtual Disk Service" in Disk Management either. The window simply pops up, but nothing gets populated within the window. Virtual Disk Service and Disk Defragmentor Services are running. Please help me. I need to back up very sensitive data.ThanksEDIT Tried Ubuntu. There I can see my 200 GB Drive. But when I try installing Windows in that drive, nothing happens. That process simply starts, but doesn't proceed. How can this be a hard drive problem?Also, bootrec.exe couldn't be used as I'm unable to proceed to that step. If I try repair recovery, simply a blue windows background appears. After some time, mouse pointer appears. And that's it. This remained for 6 hours after which I switched the system off
