How to set up wireless router to get wireless internet for laptop?
I am using a broadband lan connection on my desktop. i have a laptop as well. how can i use a wireless router to share the desktop connection with the laptop. i want the laptop to be wireless.

I'm getting a laptop for the first time, and I don't know what to do to get wireless internet. I know I need a wireless router can I use linksys and it said something online about an internet modem, that I need to buy offline. Can I not use the internet modem I already use for my desktop? It's just a regular mediacom internet modem they gave us when they came out and set up the internet. And if so, HOW to I connect the internet modem, and the wireless modem?Sorry, I normally understand anything to do with computers, but I've never been privileged with a laptop before.

Hello, I will be traveling for 3 month in Europe this summer and need to have access to internet because I am taking an online course and cannot miss any assignments or tests. I know that hostels usually have free wifi but sometimes I'll be doing school work at airports, at bus stations and etc, and therefore need a reliable internet. I have heard that you can purchase USB sticks for wireless internet, but does anyone recommend any websites or have any suggestions on this. I have found some sites but they are only for within USA but I need European countries.Please help, thank you

I will be getting a laptop soon and am wondering about the internet connection for it. Right now i have a high speed internet provider, a modem, and a linksys wireless g router. I want to be able to get an internet connection from my router without having to plug in an ethernet cable from my router to the laptop. The wireless internet works fine on my sister's laptop and my father's PC PC is connected directly by cable , how come it doesn't work on mine? Confused About Wireless Internet for Laptop?
I just got a new Toshiba laptop and I need to get internet for it. We have internet in my house, DSL from Qwest. Is there someway to connect my laptop to this wirelessly without having to buy anything special?? If so, I need specific instructions on how to do it. I know what my SSID and my ISP numbers are but don't know how to connect it all up. Thanks
