How to connect my xbox 360 to xbox live through laptop?
I use my school's wireless internet to get on the internet on my laptop dell inspiron 1545 i'm using it right now. I would like to know if there is any way i can get my xbox to get on xbox live by, perhaps connecting an ethernet cable directly to my laptop, from my xbox and get internet from my laptop.if there is another way i'd b open to other suggestions too. please help

Do you need a crossover ethernet cord to connect to xbox live through laptop?
I am trying to connect to xbox live through my laptop using a regular ethernet cord. I follow all kinds of different tutorials but it doesn't work. I have tried bridging and using ics.do you need a crossover one for it to work?

i've used video's from youtube and it still won't work anybody know away it still won't work even when i bridge the connections...anybody know what to do????

Ok so here is the story. For the past 2 weeks I've been able to play on Xbox LIVE using my laptop as a gateway using the wireless chip in the laptop to pick up a signal from the router and connecting the laptop to the xbox with an ethernet cable . I decided to dump my hard drive yesterday and reinstall windows and everything. Now I cannot connect to xbox live using my laptop...I have all of the drivers needed and I am sure I did everything right. I went to Network connections > Wireless Netowkr Connection > advanced > and i checkked the box the allows sharing of the network. On my xbox it connects the xbox to the network, netowkr to internet, but then it fails I get the big red X at connecting to xbox live that's what happens when i Test xbox live connection Can anyone help me and figure out why this no longer works for me? I NEED XBOX LIVE i tried birding travis...didnt work

i want to connect xbox live via usb to my laptop and then from my laptop connect to my wireless router via a wireless internet connection. is this possible? if so how because whenever i try it fails the ip test.

I have always ran xbox live through my laptop wireless internet to laptop, ethernet between laptop and xbox and it worked fine albeit slow. So i bought a new belkin n router to try and increase my wifi range and subsequent speed. However now I can't get xbox live through the laptop, the network bridge is enabled etc. and it appears that it should work. I was wondering if anyone has any ideas as to why this might be this case, could it be to do with my new wpa2 security?

I need to connect to Xbox live using a Ethernet cord hooked to my laptop. I then need my laptop to receive wireless internet and funnel it to the Xbox. I'm basically taking wireless into my computer and outputting it through ether net to my Xbox? Any ideas on how to do this?I just bridged the connections, but my Xbox still cannot connect. Will I have to turn of the firewall?I can connect to the network, but not the internet.

Xbox Live through laptop?
I'm trying to connect my Xbox 360 to xbox live through my laptop by connecting it to the 360 with an ethernet cable. I have enabled internet connection sharing but the connection from the laptop to the xbox has " limited or no connectivity" , and every time i try to repair it it says it cannot renew the IP address. Repairing it through the xbox itself doesn't work either. I've tried disabling firewalls antivirus programs, with no results. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi guys, i have tried everything to use my windows 7 laptop as an adapter.My laptop is connected to the internet wirelessly with a modem, i want to use my ethernet cable to connect my laptop to the xbox, i plugged the cable and started the xbox, then i tested the connection, it won't even pass the Xbox > Network step.I have tried the bridging method, doesn't work, i also tried checking the " allow other network users connect through computer's internet connection." Doesn't work.I really don't know what i am doing wrong, please help Techno I don't know man, i've seen a lot of youtubers using the PC as adapter yeah, connecting it right to the xbox

Trying to get on Xbox live through Laptop internet connection?
Okay so im on a trip with my dad to NYC and im staying at the DoubleTree right in Times square. i ordered the wifi for $12.95 a night last night and i got 4 nights worth.... im bored in the room right now i just got back from walking around outside going to shops.. and i want to play my 360 on live to play MW2 and Saints row and i bridged the connections and did everything i need to the room doesnt have an ethernet port so i HAVE to do it through my laptop but it wont connect. the laptop is connected online obviously and the ethernet is going from my laptop to my 360 and the HSI high speed Internet connection is bridged with the LAN but my 360 wont connect. PS... the LAN connection has a red X through it like its not working and it says the cables unplugged but it IS plugged in... Thanks everyone.

Xbox live through laptop?
how can i take my laptop that is connected to the internet wirelessly and connect my xbox 360 to it to get xbox live? When i try to enable internet connection sharing it says a lan connection is already configured with the IP address that is required for automatic IP addressing. And when i bridge my wireless connection with either the local area connection or 1394 connection all it does is make my wireless connection not work. Does anyone know how to do this? My router is downstairs and i would really like to not have to pay $100 for the xbox wireless adapterI have a d link router, idk what exact kind, I put in the 192.168.1.1 and was able to get an IP on my xbox but the dns wouldn't work, and i couldn't use the comp. internet, do you know what i have to change the DNS to?

I am trying to connect my xbox to my laptop which has wireless internet on it in order to get onto xbox live. However, it says there is a Ip conflict as something else is using the same ip...how do I get rid of the conflicting ip problem?
